New carbon strategy toolkit nominated for award

Carbon4CAST, a new carbon strategy toolkit created as a result of a pioneering Knowledge Transfer Partnership between the University of Lincoln and NPS Humber Ltd, has been nominated in a national competition and will be on show at Ecobuild 2013.

Carbon4CAST is a predictive modelling toolkit for reducing carbon emissions to assist organisations in meeting environmental targets in an innovative and cost effective way.

Carbon4CAST is an output of the KTP led by Dr Behzad Sodagar from the Lincoln School of Architecture. It has been selected as a one of seven finalists that will be on show in the Innovation Zone at the Ecobuild 2013 exhibition between 5-7 March.

The Innovation Zone at the exhibition provides an interactive forum to demonstrate new or near to market technologies.

Public voting is open until Tuesday 5 March 2013, with the winning entry receiving the opportunity to be included in one of Marks & Spencer’s Sustainable Learning Stores.
