FP7 ERC – Starting Grants and Advanced Grants: Reminder of UKRO Events

Places are still available on UKRO’s upcoming information and proposal writing events on the current European Research Council (ERC) Starting and Advanced Grants calls:

In its capacity as UK National Contact Point (NCP) for the European Research Council (ERC), the UK Research Office, in partnership with institutions from across the UK, is holding a series of information events for researchers who are based in or moving to the UK and are interested in applying for the ERC Starting Grants and ERC Advanced Grants. Bookings are still open for the events remaining events.

The remaining events will take place at:

  • University College London, Wednesday 5 September 2012;
  • University of Glasgow, Wednesday 12 September 2012; and
  • Natural History Museum, London, Tuesday 16 October 2012.

At the UCL and Glasgow events, a morning session will cover the current Starting Grant call and an afternoon session will cover the current Advanced Grants call. At the Natural History Museum event, a morning session will cover Advanced Grants only. More details on the aim of the sessions, who should attend and an outline of the timings can be seen on the UKRO ERC National Contact Point website indicated below. Registration can also be done via the website.

The ERC-2013-StG Starting Grants call opened on 10 July 2012, with one single deadline for all proposals on 17 October 2012. The ERC-2013-AdG Advanced Grants Call opened on 10 July 2012, with one single deadline for all proposals on 22 November 2012.

UKRO will also run a separate series of events around the UK later in 2012 on the upcoming ERC Consolidator Grant and ERC Synergy Grant calls, and subscribers will be informed as soon as booking opens for these events.
