Breast Cancer Campaign Call for Proposals: Project Grants and PhD Studentships

Applications are currently being invited for The Breast Cancer Campaign project grants and PhD Studentships. The Breast Cancer Campaign funds innovative world class research throughout the UK and Ireland through four award schemes: project grants, PhD studentships, fellowships and pilot grants

The Campaign has an annual research spend of around £5 million and in 2010, Campaign awarded 17 project grants, 11 pilot grants, 5 PhD studentships and 1 scientific fellowship. Applications are welcome in all aspects of breast cancer research, including basic, translational and pre-clinical research, prevention (the impact of diet and lifestyle on risk), psychosocial sciences, epidemiology, bioinformatics, nursing, palliative care, complementary therapies, chemotherapy, radiology, radiotherapy, pharmacy and pharmacology.

The closing date for applications is 1 July 2011.
