An Introduction to the University Research Office

The University Research Office (URO) will be hosting a series of introductory sessions beginning January, 2009 . Hosted by URO staff, David Young (Research Facilitator) and Corinne Syrnyk (Research Administrator), along with representatives from Enterprise@Lincoln and the Graduate School, these sessions are aimed at ALL academic staff (research active or not). Sessions will clarify and promote the role of URO for supporting academic staff’s research interests and activities. This includes:

  • Funding sources
  • Grant proposals & costings
  • Internal procedures for submitting and receiving grants
  • The role of Enterprise@Lincoln in research, consultancy and employer engagement
  • How the Graduate School supports postgraduate research and studentship proposals
  • Upcoming staff development workshops for research
  • Good practice for research

Sessions will be held across Faculties and will be advertised in the near future via email.
