EPSRC (the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) recently announced a series of one-day workshops running throughout 2009 which aim to give academics an overview of the organisation. You should seriously consider attending if you’re interested in applying for EPSRC funding and would like to:
- Find out more about the EPSRC as a whole
- Learn about the peer review process for grants
- Get valuable experience on a mock panel
- Get hints and tips on proposal writing
- Find out more about funding opportunities for different types of research activity
