RCUK have recently launched a ‘one-stop shop’ for information, news and advice on all seven Research Councils’ knowledge transfer schemes:
Here’s more from RCUK’s press release:
A portal to help researchers and businesses find funding for knowledge transfer opportunities has been launched today. Research Councils UK have created a ‘one-stop-shop’ which gives details of all seven research councils’ knowledge transfer schemes and activities and how to get involved.
The activities are divided into four areas: Collaborative Research; Collaborative Training; People Exchange; and Commercialisation and Development. Portal users can read a brief description of each activity and then click straight through to the relevant website for further information.
Having briefly scanned through the site, it is essentially a list of links to relevant pages of Research Council websites with brief explanations on some of the many funding streams available. You should also be aware that some of the funding schemes linked to are not currently open, e.g. the AHRC/BBC Knowledge Exchange Programme.
However, it’s worth bearing in mind that this is not just about applying for funding. There are a number of useful links to networking sites (e.g. REN), as well as activities and events that interested researchers could get involved in.
