The EC has now opened the 2017 Call for Proposals for Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Networks (ITN).

ITN are trans-european/trans-national, inter-sectoral, inter-disciplinary (where appropriate) partnerships or networks of research organisations and the non-academic sector, which build knowledge through individual/personalised projects by early-stage researchers (ie doctoral researchers) in a defined area of science or scholarship, and develop the skills and careers of the ESRs through a joint research training or doctoral programme which includes transferable skills training, and meaningful exposure to the non-academic sector. There are three strands of ITN: European Training Networks (ETN), European Industrial Doctorates (EID) and European Joint Doctorates (EJD).
