Make connections with researchers around the world…

 By ahrcinternational :

Would you like to connect with Arts and Humanities researchers from countries as diverse as Kazakhstan, Brazil, Morocco, and Thailand? These and fourteen other countries are part of the new British Council Researcher Links initiative, which aims to build relationships between UK researchers and those in emerging economies. The initiative will have a combination of workshops and travel grants and there is currently an open call for leading researchers to propose topics for bilateral workshops, which will then bring in early career researchers as participants.

The successful workshop coordinators will have the opportunity to shape the programme, identify contributors and select early career participants for the workshop, discuss their research, and build valuable international relationships.

Initially the countries involved are: Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Morocco, Egypt, Qatar, South Africa, Nigeria, Russia, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Thailand, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam and Bangladesh. Other countries may be brought in subsequently.

The deadline is 14th July 2013, and the guidelines and application form can be found on the website:
