The British Academy have just recently announced that the call for proposals for the Small Research Grants scheme, now supported by the Leverhulme Trust, is now open!

British Academy Small Research Grants provide between £500 and £10,000 for primary research in the humanities and social sciences. Funds are available to facilitate initial project planning and development, to support the direct costs of research, and to enable the advancement of research through workshops, conferences, or visits by or to partner scholars; and both individual and collaborative research can be supported.

The closing date for applications for the latest round of small research grants is on 30 May 2012. This is for research beginning between 1 September 2012 and 31 March 2013.
