How To Find Research Funding: A Series of Lunchtime Workshops

The University Research Office is now running monthly practical sessions on Finding Research Funding. They’ll take place on the first Wednesday of every month. The next one is on 3rd February at 12pm in Computing Services Training Room 1, on the 1st floor in the Main Administrative Building.

These hour-long lunchtime workshops will show you how to use online tools – such as ResearchResearch.com – to search for and find funding for research projects. They will address a range of opportunities and funding sources, including advice on eligible costs, partners and other funder requirements.

The sessions are open to both research and administrative staff active in securing funding for research. No prior knowledge is required to attend.

Participants will:

  • improve awareness of online sources of funding information, such as Researchresearch.com, UKRO and Delicious;
  • be able to carry out an advanced funding search using the above tools;
  • improve knowledge of types of funding sources and related issues, e.g. eligibility, costs, partners, in order to make informed funding searches.

To book a place please use the Staff Learning and Development section of the Portal or send an email to training@lincoln.ac.uk. Space is limited to 10 per session, so please book a place as soon as possible.

** UPDATE: 27/01/2010 ** Please note the event on the 3rd February is now full. If you’re interested in attending, please book one of the other sessions using the Staff Learning and Development Portal page.
